Improving Services while Benefiting the Environment
Nightwatch is committed to acting in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring that our impacts are identified and managed effectively.
In January, Nightwatch began testing a two tier system which allowed for the reduction of paper consumption by nearly 55%. Each night, our field operations staff files shift logs, service notices, alarm response tickets, parking violations, and other documents outlining our activity on client property. Nightwatch pledged to achieve a goal which would reduce waste and overhead.
In July, two new clients in Brooklyn evaluated a paperless system, which transmitted incident reports, and some service notices via e-mail. This portion of the system has been 'certified' and will be ready for full use by our portfolio in September.
The second phase of testing, which begins August 10, includes the selection of ten clients who will begin to receive service forms generated on a vehicle mounted computer. This portion of the system has shown to be very solid in our internal tests, and we will expand it based upon customer feedback, and in accordance to our 2009-2010 capital plan.
Once released, our new system will reduce our generation of waste, consumption of paper, and eliminate handwriting issues. The best part is, there will be no rate increases related to these enhancements, as our 2009-2010 capital plan, and previous upgrades allotted for integration and updates.
If your account wishes to be included on our second tier of evaluations, please contact your account representative, or e-mail Service@communityrespondalarm.com.
